- Receive two emails each week about commonly used phrases and expressions in Spanish.
- Improve your basic vocabulary with phrases such as “My name is…”
- Feel comfortable using more complex expressions like “Tengo ganas de” in every day conversation. (By the way, “Tengo ganas de” means “I am excited about” or “I feel like.”)
For each phrase, you will receive an explanation and an example of how to use it in conversation. Here is an example:
"Viejo/a” and “antiguo/a” = “old”.
These are generally used to describe things, but can also describe people (though it may be considered rude in some contexts). The word “mayor” is a polite word used to describe people.
For example: "El hombre mayor trabaja en un edificio antiguo/viejo.” (The elderly man works in an old building.)
At our first meeting, we will discuss your goals and reasons for learning Spanish. We will then create a personal lesson plan that focuses on meeting your goals. We will provide opportunities to practice and discuss your skills and your progress in the class.
Group classes offer students a chance to practice Spanish with others in class. For group classes, we discuss which areas students want to focus on and what skills they want to develop. More than one student = more opportunities for activities. (Prices are cheaper for Group Classes)
We have many resources, guides, lesson plans and practice materials to help you reach your goals. From books to videos to conversation practice, we offer many ways to learn. If you have an idea for something new, please share it with us!
We offer online Spanish classes to help fit your busy schedule! Via Skype, you can have conversation practice, learn about grammar, or practice your vocabulary. We make it easy for you to learn!
We will discuss where and when tutoring will take place. Libraries and coffee shops are ideal for teaching and learning. We will also discuss a location that is close to the student and the teacher, and a time that works for everyone.
